Dear Glass Explorers,
We recently got a letter from Google’s lawyer, saying that using a word GLASS will infringe their trademark… even though trademark GLASS has been refused by United States Patent and Trademark Office, Google still doesn’t want anyone to be associated with this word, even if you make up something like a GAZERglass…
We had a hard time deciding whether we should keep our old name or choose a new one. We went to a few lawyers, but the average price in New York for a good one starts from $700 per hour for them just to learn about the case! Before even giving us a legal advice. Unfortunately, we don’t have that much money to spend on fights with large corporations, so we are changing GAZERglass to something else.
All the work is held before we reach our final agreement with Google, and now we are waiting for their response. Hopefully they will respond next week and we will resume our work. Unfortunately, we will need some more time to fix all legal issues…
